Upcoming Projects

Upcoming project(s): In preproduction with the feature film ‘STINKY” a story about a drug addicted homeless man whose delusional, demented mother, cries out to see her son again. Her daughter and reluctant younger brother embark on a search for him among the city’s most dangerous and destitute. Angie Reid is both executive producer and lead in the project.

Angie Reid
Biography

​

Angie Reid has appeared in several films, and television productions. Currently, she plays the lead character “sketch”, in season 4 episode 9, of the critically acclaimed television series, CORONER, airing on Netflix. She also plays a recurring character on Roku channel’s series SLIP. You may have also seen her in Tracy Deer’s Official TIFF selected film “BEANS”, and as a lead character and in prominent director Alison Duke’s multi-award-winning film “Promise Me.” Destined to become a force in the industry Angie produced, directed, and narrated her documentary “The Sick in the Six” – a personal project very close to her heart that takes an in depth look into the lives of the homeless, the mentally ill, and the drug addicted. It is currently making its debut in several film festivals and has won the prestigious SWAN award for BEST DOCUMENTARY. Angie is an advocate for the disenfranchised and has volunteered at the Suicide line Distress centre and currently volunteers with 2 Spirited People of First Nations where she supplies clothing and winter apparel for those in need. She is also the recipient of The Toronto Police Service Board’s Community Member Award for saving the life of an overdose victim. Angie Reid’s ability to bring life to her characterizations as an actor and her role as an advocate for the less fortunate has been recognized by various producers and directors as well as her peers.


A native of Toronto, Canada, where she currently resides, Angie is a keen supporter of the Canadian entertainment industry.
